Modern Cross Quilt Card

This card uses Papertrey Ink Modern Cross Quilt Die and stamp set.  I also used Boutique Borders Christmas along with Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler.

It is a busy time of the year.  I make between 60 and 75 Christmas cards a year.  I try to come up with different designs.  I very seldom make two cards the same.

Ink:  Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler (SU)
Paper:  Whisper White, Crumb Cake for card base
Dies:  Boutique Border and Modern Cross Quilt Cover plate (PTI), and Spellbinders for Doily
Techniques:  Sponging and Embossing, Die Cutting

Traditional Christmas

It's that time of year again to start my Christmas cards.  I love the PTI stamps that are the more traditional story of Christmas.  I used Nativity Silhouettes stamp set for this card.  The angel and sun ray were stamped using the Colorbox gold metallic ink from the Luxe Letterpress kit.

I am not very good at coloring but trying different mediums.  This is the retired Pastels from SU.  I have another one where I colored it using the Blender pen and ink.  I like both.  Once I finish the other card, I will post it as well.

Christmas in July

Starting my Christmas cards.  Last year I made around 70 cards.  I don't like to  make the same cards and so I will use a basic design and use it for a while and then change to a different stamp and do some more.  For this stamp I changed the ribbon and where I put the sentiment.
Inked the edges after distressing the edges of the Designer Paper.

Ink:  Midnight Muse, Cherry Cobbler, Versamark
Ribbon:  Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dots Ribbon
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink and Four Frames SU
Tools1-3/4 Scallop Circle,  Circle punch, Decorative Label Punch, Black and Cherry Cobbler EP, Distress tool

Christmas

Well, last night was our Christmas program at the church. I am usually the one in charge of the program. For part of the program I needed a fake cake, so I decided to use my Cricut. It wasn't really fancy since I am pretty busy with all of the other aspects of Christmas, work, and taking care of my granddaughter and foster child, but this is a little bit of what I did. I made 9 of these boxes from the Tags, Bags, and Boxes cartridge and put candy in and then put the circle on top and cut cardstock for the sides to hold it all in place. One of the girls carried it down the aisle for a birthday cake for Jesus. I think i used Birthday Bash for Happy Birthday and the flowers.

I cut a circle out of George Basic Shapes and then cut in half so that I could run it through the Cuttlebug. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the "icing" on the sides. I also made little gift boxes but I forgot to take a picture of them.
