PTI Win It Wednesday

PTI has a new challenge called Laurie’s Fabulous Favorites from Laurie Schmidlin.  This week's challenge is to use your favorite stamp set.  I want to use stamps that I have either not used or used very little this year so I chose Stitch in Time by Betsy Veldman with Sentiment Staples Birthday by Lizzie Jones.  I love all of the birthday stamps that have different ways to say happy birthday since I make a lot of birthday cards for our missionaries.  I'm not very good at sponging but I like to try.

I heat embossed the sentiment and then sponged over it.  I added the little flowers from the Stitch in Time set.  I used Winter Wisteria cardstock and ink.  Thanks for looking.

I decided to enter the Make It Monday from Papertrey Ink using patterned frames.  I used the Noted dies with some patterned paper scrap that I had.  I used the retired Fillable Frames Addition One stamp set as well for my center sentiment.  Ink and paper is from Stampin Up.

September 2018 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Today is Papertrey Ink's Blog Hop.  I started to make this card for a Make It Monday for the faux gilded leaves but it didn't turn out.  I used the leaves then for this card.  I've been messing with quilting ideas on cards.  I used some leaves from a stamp set from Stampin Up that I fussy cut.  I used the Big Basics:  Just for You Die from Papertrey Ink for my sentiment.  Here is the Inspiration Photo.

Make It Monday Framing Sentiments and Images

PTI Anniversary Stripe Challenge

My husband wanted me to make a thank you card for his work.  In two weeks he is retiring.  He works for a truck towing company.  He had me make a tow truck pop up card with the colors of their trucks.  Since I needed to make the card, I decided to enter it into the challenge.  I need to add the name of the company to the truck yet.  Inside he can write what he wants to say.

PTI Anniversary Color Challenge

I used the color scheme from Laurie Schmidlin.  I decided to use the Color Pop Florals set including one of the papers in the set.  I used Amethyst Allure and Harvest Gold inks from PTI.  I didn't have the other colors so I used some inks that I had from Stampin Up.  I used the die from the set for the sentiment using Copper foil sheets.  I still have some trouble lining up the stamps especially the little ones that are single.

PTI 11th Anniversary All Die No Stamp Challenge

Since 11 year anniversary is steel, the challenge is to use die cuts for the card.  I used an embossing folder for the background.  I used the Basic Wish Big die as well as the little bird from In the Meadow.  I hope to be able to use this for a masculine card.

PTI Anniversary Day 5 Retiring List

Today's challenge is to use one of the stamps on the retiring list for a project.  I have been trying to catch up on scrapbooking and was working on this page.  I finished it with the stamp Remember this from A Few Pointers.  Wouldn't you know it, after I finished it now I can't find the stamp.  Oh well.
This is a picture showing the stamping.  I don't like to show my granddaughter's face on the internet so I covered it up.  This was her birthday from a few years ago.  Below is a picture of the whole page.

PTI Anniversary Day 4

The challenge today is to use flowers, of which PTI has many, in celebration of the new Anniversary set.  Here is my card for the challenge.
I have a lot of PTI stamps that have not been used.  I had Nostalgic Notions on my desk that I have been wanting to use for a long time.  I cased this card from the June blog hop.

PTI Anniversary Day 3

The challenge is to take a card that you have made in the past and transform it in some way.  This is a card that I made a few years ago.  It is very simple.

I used one of the fillable frames for the sentiment.  It was a very simple card.
I still used a fillable frame sentiment and frame and used the same color scheme.  I added a layer and some thread for some interest as well as some sequins.  I popped up the layers as well.  The papers are from the paper packs that were on sale last year.

11TH ANNIVERSARY DAY 1: SKETCH CHALLENGE

This is the time of year for PTI's anniversary.  Today is a sketch challenge.
Each design team member picked a favorite card and a sketch was made from that card.  I used Michelle's sketch.  Here is her sketch and here is my card.
Here is my card.
I used a Stampin Up stamp and inks.  I used PTI Stamper's Select for the card.  The sentiment is from Keep It Simple:  Birthday.  The panel is from the A2 Noted die set.  Thanks for looking.

PTI April Blog Hop

Our challenge this month is to use the colors in this piece by Megan Carter. We are challenged to use these colors as a springboard for our own ideas.

I used the stencil from Lovely Lace in SU Smoky Slate.  I wish PTI had a medium gray in their arsenal.  I used Bitty Bouquet Stamp set and dies for my flowers and for the sentiment.  I embossed the sentiment in Smoky Slate from SU as well.  The inks were from SU and PTI for the yellow.  The heart frame came from the Sparkle and Shakers kit.  The ribbon is from StampinUp.  I added a little bit of Wink of Stella to the card front and some enamel shapes from SU as well.

Make It Monday PTI Patterns Behind Die Cut Windows

I needed to make a sympathy card so I decided to use the technique Dawn McVey showed in the Make It Monday video.

I used the Noted A2 rectangle for  my window.  I used one of the other Woodblock Prints stencils.  I used Autumn Rose and Lovely Lilac inks for my stenciling.  I used Keep It Simple Sympathy for my greeting.  I used a stamp set from Stampin Up for paisleys for my focal point.  I added some Limeade Ice to my paisleys.  The front of my card is Lilac Grace and I used the Woodblock Prints Stamp set.

PTI Make It Monday Out of the Box

Lexi Daly shared her project about stamping out of the box.  I need to make some Easter cards.  I am a very CAS style card maker and make my cards pretty simple.  The card that I made I used Inspired:  Savior stamp set and die along with the Noted Scalloped A1 die collection.  I like the smaller card when I have smaller elements.  I used a stamp set from Stampin Up for my "box."  The ink that I used was Terracotta tile and Starfruit from Stampin Up.  I used some copper foil cardstock and some sequins that I had on hand.

PTI Make It Monday Curved Sentiments

I'm trying to participate in more challenges and use my stuff that I have.  I probably have too many sets that have never seen ink.  Our challenge was to curve a straight sentiment such as here.  Here is Ashley's project and below is my take on curved sentiments

Supplies used were Lovely Lady PTI card for the base.  I used Color Pop: Butterflies.  The sentiment was from Keep It Simple:  Just Because.  I used Banner Style Die for the label.  I used SU Bashful Blue, Lost Lagoon, and Melon Mambo and PTI Enchanted Evening, Hawaiian Shores,  Lovely Lady, and Smoky Shadow inks.  I used some gold thread and some Wink of Stella to add some gold to the front.  The label is popped up with dimensionals.  I also used the technique shared by  Yana Smakula for PTI and embossed a couple of the butterflies after coloring.

March PTI Blog Hop

This is the picture that we were given for inspiration for this months's blog hop.  I wanted to use the theme of the flowers and the colors for my card.

Here is my card that I made.  I used PTI Ruby Rose Stamp set, the free December stamp set Ruby Reprise, and then the dies.  The sentiment is from that stamp set as well.  I used SU Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Bashful Blue inks as well as PTI Lovely Lady for the flowers.  I embossed the sentiment with Tempting Turquoise embossing powder.  I sponged Bashful Blue ink on the edges.  Not exactly satisfied with the card but hopefully the recipient will be pleased.

This is the first time that I am participating in the Make It Monday on Nichole Heady's blog for PTI.  Stephanie Gold is sharing a video on chipboard sentiments.  I used the Wonderful Words:  Birthday die and stamp and Star Prints stamp set from the Vault which was one of  my first stamp sets that I bought from PTI.  Colors are SU Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, and PTI Summer Sunrise inks.  I used Polka Dot Basics stamp set to add some texture.  Below is the inside of the card.  I used Small Sketch Stars dies inside.
